Henry Tsang:
Tsang graduated with a BFA from the University of British
Columbia and continued studies at the Banff Centre. He has been producing
work
that deals with photography and text, often with the use of Chinese
characters. He has been involved in numerous group exhibitions including The
Vancouver Exchange at the Cold City Gallery in Toronto, Fear of Others: Art
Against Racism in Vancouver, and In Transition: Chinese Canadian Artists in
Vancouver. Most recently he curated the seminal exhibition Self Not Whole
at
the Chinese Cultural Centre, Vancouver (1991). LOVE STORIES was exhibited in
a solo show at Gallery 44 in Toronto. He was awarded the VIVA Award (1993)
by
the Vancouver Institute for Visual Arts. |
