VEZIO TOMASINELLI is a founding director of Velan (Torino), curator and collector. Past exhibitions have included: ART IS LIFE 1993:148 artists from all over the world in a project on motorcycle helmets. In cooperation with Museo dell'Automobile Torino, Gand Museum Belgium, Sotheby's London, PMMK Museum Belgium, Sotheby's Milano; Landescapes 1994: the group show has involved artists from Torino and London; USA-VdA 1995: group show with American and Italian artists; Francia-Italia 1996: group show with French and Italian artists. In cooperation with MAPRA Lion; Modernità Progetto 2000 1996; Border - frontiere per l'infinito, 1997: group show with international Italian artists such Paolo Brenzini, Riccardo Cordero, Chiara Dynys, Karpuseeler, Pierluigi Meneghello, Maurizio Vetrugno. In cooperation with Palazzo Bricherasio Torino. He is also a dentist.
VELAN was established in Torino in 1993 to promote contemporary art in Italy. It was founded and is directed by Vezio Tomasinelli. Artists who have collaborated with Velan: Les Levine, Dennis Oppenheim, Miltos Manetas, Noriaki Maeda, Dennis Adams, Muntadas, Matthew McCaslin, Pep Agut, Swetlana Heger, Bernardí Roig, John Tremblay.
